Serengeti National Park is famous for the Great Migration, where over 1.5 million wildebeest and 250,000 zebras move across its vast plains. It covers about 14,750 km² in northern Tanzania. It's a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has won multiple awards like Africa’s Leading National Park. The park is rich in wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, elephants, leopards, and rhinos. it was established in 1951 to protect the incredible migration and ecosystem. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area, is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. It’s home to about 25,000 animals, including black rhinos, elephants, lions, and hippos. This UNESCO World Heritage Site spans roughly 8,292 km², with the crater floor itself covering 260 km². Found in the Crater Highlands of northern Tanzania, it was formed millions of years ago and officially became a conservation area in 1959, combining wildlife protection with the presence of local Maasai communities. Tarangire National Park is known for its massive elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. Covering around 2,850 km², it lies south of Lake Manyara in northern Tanzania. The park hosts thousands of elephants, along with giraffes, lions, leopards and over 550 bird species. Though less visited than Serengeti or Ngorongoro, it’s a hidden gem recognized for seasonal animal migrations. It was declared a national park in 1970. Lake Manyara National Park is a compact but biodiverse park located along the Great Rift Valley in northern Tanzania. it covers about 330 km². The park is famous for its tree climbing lions, large troops of baboons, flamingos and elephants. It’s also designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Established in 1960, the park protects various habitats from groundwater forests to alkaline lakeshores.
